Go to Aqua Mail Settings>Data Storage >Backup & Restore

  1. Backup & restore screen

  2. Tap Backup

  3. Enter a password (optional)

  4. "Back up accounts" and "Back up app settings" are enabled by default. To perform a backup, navigate to "Copy to" and select an option from the drop-down menu. "Back up emails" is recommended for POP3 accounts, but is less useful for IMAP accounts. Keep in mind that enabling this option may significantly increase the backup file size and the time needed to complete the process.

  5. Tap OK > Internal phone storage will open (Downloads folder by default)

  6. Tap Save > Save to Drive screen will open

  7. Tap Save

Users will be redirected to the "Backup & Restore" screen, where a popup message will be displayed, indicating: "Backed up X account, including app settings"

*Please note that the "Back up emails" setting does not include messages from the Drafts, Deleted, and Spam folders. Additionally, it's important to be aware that the app will save messages based on their current state, in accordance with your app settings, including settings such as preloaded attachments and loaded messages.

P.S. Ensure that you save your backup password (if you opt to use one) in a secure location, as you may require it in the future for restoring on a different device.

To restore your accounts, settings, and/or emails, follow these steps: Tap on the "Restore" button, and you'll be prompted to select the backup file. By default, the device's "Download" folder will open. Alternatively, you can tap on "Copy From" and select a different backup file from one of the cloud storage services if you have them installed on your device (e.g., Dropbox, or OneDrive).
